The project in brief

Assessment by bioimpedancemetry involves delivering a very low-intensity current to measure tissue resistance at different frequencies, then applying predictive equations to assess the various body compartments, including water volume. However, this measurement can be influenced by changes in electrolyte distribution, dehydration or increased skin temperature - all factors that can be induced by physical exercise. Carried out in partnership with an industrial company, the aim of this project is to evaluate the precise influence of these parameters on raw bio-impedancemetry measurements.
