HIPE HUMAN LAB is a research laboratory focusing on human physiology. Its ambition is to build on the Aix-Marseille site a scientific reference unit for the physical assessment of top-level athletes to improve their performance, as well as the study of the role of physical activity in well-being and the prevention and treatment of pathologies. With this configuration, HIPE will enable research results to be transferred from the field of sport to the field of health and vice versa.

The LBA's line of research focuses on human modeling and digital simulation, both to understand trauma and to prevent and repair it. The laboratory mobilizes multidisciplinary approaches between life sciences and engineering sciences, with strong expertise in biomechanics, physiology, anatomy, imaging, mechanics and computer science. Over the years, the LBA has specialized in the development and optimization of protection and safety devices.

INT is an institute dedicated to the study of the structure and function of the brain and spinal cord. It conducts fundamental, translational and clinical research in response to a major challenge of our time: understanding the origins, dynamics and mechanisms of neurological, psychiatric and neurodevelopmental diseases.

The CRMBM conducts translational research, developing and applying magnetic resonance methods and instrumentation to explore the morphology, metabolism and physiology of human diseases and associated animal models. With the support of multidisciplinary teams of biologists, physicists and clinicians, the center aims to better characterize healthy and pathological states of the central nervous, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems, and define new diagnostic and/or therapeutic strategies.

CERIMED is a research and experimentation center for preclinical and clinical in vivo imaging.
The center's ambition is to create a center of excellence in Europe, bringing together the skills and state-of-the-art infrastructures needed to carry out an ambitious research and development program, for the design and validation of the next generation of medical imaging systems, as well as for the development of new radiopharmaceuticals dedicated to the exploration and monitoring of various pathologies.

The Institut Fresnel focuses on wave physics, from theory to experimentation. In recent years, its scientific scope has broadened to include biology, biophysics and biomedical research, with strong links to imaging. Our work in these fields combines modeling and simulation, development of optical components (interference filters, nanophotonic structures), and above all innovative microscopy instruments and associated signal and image processing methods.
