The project in brief

The aim of this project is to evaluate the effects of new nutritional formulations on sports performance. More specifically, to target the action of a nutritional formulation that would spare muscle glycogen reserves (the muscle's form of energy storage) and consequently delay the onset of exhaustion during endurance effort. The project targets all types of endurance sport, whether individual or team, amateur or professional. The results obtained can then be extended to nutritional strategies in the treatment of obesity/overweight.
