The singularity of the LBA is its multidisciplinarity and the transversal approach it has adopted between Engineering Sciences and Medicine, centering on modeling the human body with a view to developing research themes based on biomechanical studies of the human body (from trauma to its repair). The research performed combines clinical and anatomical knowledge, experimental and theoretical approaches to study the behavior of tissues and structures in the human body as well as through modeling and numerical simulation.
