The 9-12 Research Industry event organized by the Institut Carnot STAR was a great success at its 4th edition, which took place under the theme of sport.

This series of themed events is designed to bring academics and industry together, with

each edition highlighting a different theme and showcasing the work of the Institut Carnot STAR's research units. Over the course of a morning, researchers, industrialists and other socio-economic players can exchange views on the innovations, research projects and scientific reflections carried out around this theme.

Morning program

This 4th edition was a special one, as we organized it around Sport, the central theme of our Carnot. And what could be more appropriate, in this Olympic year, than to showcase the research projects and collaborations of our units in the field of sport?

9-12 Recherche Industrie Sport took place in the heart of Marseille on Thursday April 18. To bring together academics, institutions and industry, we opted for a large space on the campus of one of our 4 supervisory bodies: the CNRS

. 70 players from the world of sports innovation attended the event, which featured presentations, a poster session and, above all, discussions.

Highlights of the presentations

After a few morning exchanges over breakfast, five speakers took the floor to highlight the expertise of their research units in the field of sport, illustrating them with examples of industrial collaborations.

The poster session: a first for this event!

After the various presentations, each one richer than the last, participants headed for the poster area. A first for 9-12 Recherche Industrie. For this very special edition, we wanted to highlight the research projects and/or collaborations of our researchers, PhD students and Master 2 students. A great opportunity to learn more about the latest scientific developments in sport. Participants praised this initiative, underlining its positive impact on the dynamic of the event.

Benefits and prospects

The 4th edition of 9-12 Recherche Industrie confirmed its role in promoting innovation and collaboration between academia and industry. By highlighting scientific and technological advances in the field of sports, we encouraged fruitful exchanges between researchers, industrialists and other socio-economic players.

Presentations from the various research units unveiled innovative projects, demonstrating the expertise and diversity of the work carried out within the Institut Carnot STAR. The poster session also provided an opportunity to showcase current projects and stimulate discussion on current research issues in the field of sport.

the event's spin-offs are promising, with prospects for enriching collaborations and development opportunities to be explored. Positive feedback from participants testifies to the quality of the exchanges and the interest aroused by this innovative format.
