Magnetic resonance (IRM in vivo animal et Homme)

Carnot STAR’s Scientific thematics associated

Presentation

The platform provides instrumentation and expertise to perform for a wide range of MRI and spectroscopy studies in animals and humans. The platform is open to collaborative work or provides MRI and spectroscopy services, it has particular expertise in:

  • Central nervous system (brain and spinal cord)
  • Cardiovascular system (heart and aorta)
  • Musculoskeletal system (muscle, cartilage and bone) and can also respond to specific demands (oncology, liver disease, etc.).

Magnetic resonance explorations include morphological, metabolic and functional imaging. Advanced explorations are also possible thanks to development made by the research teams in the associated laboratory. For example, the platform offers multi-nucleus explorations (phosphorus-31 (31P), sodium-23 (23Na)), advanced methods for brain, cardiac perfusion, spinal cord and myelin imaging.
